The first records referring to the city date back to the 8th century, and the centuries are embedded in Prague’s numerous historical sites and monuments of different eras: Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Art Nouveau, as well as Modern. Prague boasts with more than 2,000 protected heritage objects, and its historical city centre entered the list of UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage in 1992.

Visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of the city in every season from a boat on the Vltava River, relax in many of its parks, watch the horizons from nine Prague hills, discover the Prague underground, and savour the famous Czech beer.
